Imre Boczonádi Szabó, the pioneer of beekeeping in Hungary, enrolled in law school after graduation, but without his parents’ knowledge he also completed the opera course at the school of the National Theatre. In 1873, he became an opera singer at the National Theatre, and later he performed as a tenor at the National Theatre in Kolozsvár (today Cluj-Napoca in Romania). After twenty years, in 1895, he was engaged by the Budapest Opera House, where he worked for ten years.
